One size doesn’t fit all and I’m thankful for that! It means our bodies and minds are unique. On top of we all having different genetics and cultural traits, we move differently and we hold tension in different parts of the body too. It goes without saying that your Pilates journey will also be a unique experience. If you are completely new to Pilates I’d recommend starting either with a block of 5 Reformer Foundation classes or a 1:1 to have a short assessment and decide which class will suit better.
If you have been doing Pilates for a while and wish to try the Reformer you can get a pack and use the few classes for Foundation. You can then move a level up once you are familiar with the use of the machines.
Remember if you had a recent injury you should have the clear to exercise first. There are semi-private Pilates sessions using other studio equipment that can be really beneficial for you if you are in the process of rehab or wish to work specifically in injury prevention (for example if you play a particular sport)
